Overview
Tinyweave is a script writing app for storytellers who think in Malayalam and write for the world. This policy explains what personal data we collect when you use Tinyweave, what we do with it, and the choices you have. We keep our data use intentionally small: the core of what you give us is your scripts and your login.
By using Tinyweave you agree to the collection and use of data as described here. Your documents are always yours, and we treat them as private to you and anyone you share them with.
What we collect
Depending on how you use Tinyweave, we collect the following:
Your account
- The email address and password you use to sign in (or your name and other profile details if you add them).
- A session cookie that keeps you signed in while you work.
Your documents
- The scripts you write, including scene details, notes, and outline data you create inside the editor.
- The collaborators you add and the share links you create.
Basic usage data
- Anonymous, non-personal diagnostics (for example, that a page was loaded) to keep the service reliable. We do not use advertising trackers.
How we use your data
- To run the service: store and sync your drafts, keep you signed in, and power realtime collaboration.
- To secure your account: verify sign-ins and protect against abuse.
- To support you: respond to questions and resolve problems you report.
- To improve the product: understand general usage patterns and fix bugs.
We do not sell your personal data or your scripts to anyone. We do not read your private scripts for advertising or marketing.
Where your data is stored
Your account and script content are stored in durable, encrypted-at-rest databases on Cloudflare’s edge network. Realtime collaboration updates are processed through Cloudflare Durable Objects: live edits pass through, and completed sync state is persisted so your work is saved even when you close the tab mid-collaboration.
Sharing and collaboration
When you invite someone to view or edit a script, that person can access the document you shared. Anything you type after the invite is sent may be visible to them in realtime. You can remove a collaborator at any time, and they lose access — including any open connection — immediately. Revoking a share does not by itself delete their local copy of the script from their device.
How long we keep your data
- Active documents stay on our servers for as long as your account is active.
- Delete a document and we remove it from our databases, including its revision and collaboration history.
- You can close your account at any time from the app; we then delete your profile and stored documents within a reasonable period.
- Session cookies expire when you sign out or after a period of inactivity.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate data.
- Export or delete your scripts and account data.
- Object to or restrict particular processing.
To exercise any of these, contact us at legal@tinyweave.app. Except for reasons we have to keep (for example, where required by law), we will act on requests within a reasonable time.
Children
Tinyweave is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app or by email. Continued use of Tinyweave after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
